Style In The Winter Months For Plus Sized Women

Winter months can make long days with gray skies and painful winds. However, the cold weather doesn’t mean that you have to wear bulky, oversized and unattractive clothes. Many women anticipate the upcoming winter months with dread. Winter means wearing thick clothes that hide a woman’s natural assets. For larger women, the challenges are even larger. Plus size women already have a limited choice in clothing. Still, there are lots of ways to still look stylish. No matter how cold it is outside, if you find the right clothes, you can still be attractive.

Multiple coverings are a marvelous way to keep warm both inside and out. More than one bulky sweater may appear attractive, but you actually get more protection from several items that fit closer to the body. Consider a series of items that will fit to your form, then complete the ensemble with a thin jacket or “sweats” that can be closed as high as you desire. No matter if you are just lounging around the house, playing in the snow or shopping at the mall, this grouping will look marvelous!

If you are trying to stay warm and still look stylish, try pairing thick opaque tights and a skirt together. If it’s not too cold outside, you can wear a short skirt paired with thick tights. Black tights can be used as a great way to show of your legs and your gorgeous curves. Pair these with weatherproof boots and you will be all set for any snow storm that might come your way. You can also pair thick tights with trousers or jeans to keep your legs extra warm during those frigid months. Pairing your thin summer slacks with a pair of tights will allow you to wear those them all year round.

If you are a plus-size woman, don’t wear coats that only come down to your waist. Instead, a thigh-length peacoat is a more sophisticated fashion statement for your body type. Also, an extravagant or even just basic, black wool style is nice as long as it is warm. If you feel good in it, you will most likely look good in your coat, as well. A long, ankle-sweeping wool coat is stylish. Remember, the cut of the coat is still important. Check for a bit of flare at the coat’s bottom. Is the fit of the coat good and does the fabric tend to wrinkle? A boxy look can easily occur, so definitely find a coat that drapes well on you to keep you from looking like a tube in your new coat!

During the Winter you should be more concerned about icy roads and being snowed in than what you are wearing. With a little preparation you can be well prepared for the winter months to come.
