How to Obtain Baby-Soft Skin Again
Have you ever touched the smooth, perfect skin of a little baby? It is wonderful to experience something so perfect and blemish free. As our lives progress, our skin gets abused by so many environmental factors and stress, robbing us of that perfect, radiant skin that we all had as babies. Thankfully, our skin has an excellent way to replenish itself and help itself from wearing out too fast. Did you know that children’s skin renews itself completely approximately every 2-3 weeks? The surface layers fall off, leaving the unexposed lower layer, which becomes the new upper layer, stays for a few weeks, and then the cycle begins again. This explains how children can play in the mud, dirt, and be exposed to the elements all day, every day, and still have great skin! Children don’t usually get spa treatments, use moisturizer or anything like that, and yet their skin does a great job of protecting them and keeping itself soft.
If our skin was made to renew itself so frequently, what happens to it as we become adults? Have you ever noticed the difference between an older person’s skin and a newborn’s skin? Generally, a senior citizen’s skin has the tendency to be a lot thicker, rougher, and filled with age spots and wrinkles. What causes this?
As we get older, the rate of auto-renewal of our skin tends to slow down. Rather than shedding the dead skin cells, they start collecting on the surface of the skin, causing the layers to get thicker and rougher. Unfortunately, that means any imperfections we have don’t fall off with the old layers. To top it all off, we lose approximately 10% of our epidermal cells per decade, lessening our possibilities to regenerate more healthy layers of skin. Plus, often, not as much moisture gets to the top layer of the skin, causing the fine lines, wrinkles, and the loss of elasticity we have seen so often in our older loved ones.
Wouldn’t you love to reverse this downhill process and have the same protection and renewal that your skin had when you were a child? I bet that we all have that same goal, but the question is, is that possible? If the problem is that our skin is piling up dead skin cells, the only solution to this problem is to assist the skin in shedding these superfluous cells and letting the soft layer below come to the surface. This way, we can also help more moisture to make it to the top layer of the skin, lessening fine lines and wrinkles.
Aging Skin - Reversing the Effects
A great way to help our skin refresh itself is by applying organic skin creams which speed skin cell renewal and help discard the dead skin cells which are covering the pores in your skin. Be careful, however, to choose a cream which will not only get rid of dead skin cells (such as exfoliation creams), but also will stimulate new cell production without causing trauma and irritation. Also, make sure that the cream doesn’t include harsh chemicals and is all natural. If you are serious about your skin and take these suggestions to heart, you can rest assured that your skin will look younger and softer than ever in no time!
If you have felt a newborn’s skin recently, you know how soft and moisturized it is. That is the same skin you were born with! Learn how to turn back the clock and get rid of your fine lines and wrinkles once and for all with this wrinkle cream that can renew damaged skin.
