When Bachelorette Games Go Wrong
So, here is a funny story about a bachelorette party that I went to recently. A good friend of mine was getting married, and her maid of honor had done a wonderful job.
The decorations were gorgeously done, and all the bride’s friends were invited to come. There were also a lot of fun bachelorette games planned. As it turned out, one of them was a bad idea.
The bride’s maid of honor had an idea. She thought it would be funny if everyone drank margaritas for this game and answered questions. If there was a question you didn’t want to answer, you had to finish your drink. At first it didn’t seem like a bad idea.
After all, it was a group of us girls, and what girl doesn’t like trading funny stories and gossiping? However, with some of the questions these ladies were coming up with, halfway through the game the entire place looked like an AA meeting. It would have been better if we moved on to one of the other bachelorette games, but everyone was stuck on this one.
Some of them were sobbing as they spilled the beans about their boyfriends or husbands. What started as funny stories about the guys ended up being a contest as to who had the worst guy!
Others who hadn’t lost their nerve yet tried to console the sobbing girls before tossing in their own stories. When it was nearly over, a couple of girls were just about ready to fall over into the party decorations. This is one of those bachelorette games gone wrong.
I saw back and watched it all in horror, since I remained one of the few sober ones. As I started to leave, I caught myself wondering if there was still going to be a wedding?
